Coronavirus and Pink eye

The Novel Coronavirus is sweeping the planet. What makes it so infectious, currently quadrupling in the United States every five days, is that it is a mutated animal-based virus, not a human virus. Thus, humans have no natural immunity to it.

Among the many symptoms that the virus can cause is one involving the eyes, in which the conjunctival surface of the eye becomes red, inflamed, with discharge of material onto the eyelashes. The pink eye is contagious, meaning you can get Novel Coronavirus through the eye secretions.

We advise that you avoid touching your face. And if you are around someone with red eye, pink eye, or conjunctivitis, that you consider it to be Novel Coronavirus until proven otherwise.
